EMS-final, Fnatic vs. SPEED-LINK

Ikväll (9/7) är det dags för ESL Major Series - Säsong 2 att avgöras. I finalen finner vi lyckligtvis svenska Fnatic som får ta sig an den tyska maskinen SPEED-LINK. I vad som kan komma att bli en riktigt riktigt bra match har dock inte kartorna bestämts utan detta avgörs genom ett s.k. "veto-val".

Matchen börjar 20:00 svensk och sänds live hos QuadV med Deman i etern.

Finals time, here we are again, once again throught the way of the lower brackets. But all of that is behind us. Speed Link has absolutely proved themselves this season and are worthy finalists. We met them once in the group stage and the result was a tie, they have shown perfect form throughout these last few weeks and will be a very hard opposition. This being ESL it will be like playing SL on their home turf. fnatic are looking forward to an awesome game!

rivve ersätter midnajt i Begrip

Efter att svenska Begrip trampat vatten en längre tid har man nu bestämt sig för att göra en ändring i sin lineup. Det är midnajt som fått tacka för sig och rivve, känd inom CoD4 som f.d. spelare i bland annat OMG_Ninjas och banging it eurostyle.

Nu närmast har laget att se fram emot The-Experience. Jag får önska Begrip lycka till där samtidigt som vi får hoppas midnajt hittar en ny lina att spela med.

Lagkapten KyoChi kommenterar:

We've been standing still for a good while now, not making any progress, so time has come to do something about it. Unfortunately, sacrifices has to be made in order to reach our goals, so midnajt has been removed from the team.

I won't go into detail about why, it is what it is. Four players wont do, so we've brought in some new blood. Former EYEBALLERS, OMG Ninjas and most recently Bangin it eurostyle! player Robin "rivve" Holmén will finalize the lineup and take the fifth spot in the team.

With Robin joining up, a new spark ignites, everyones motivation has really rocketed, we're really looking forward to attending The-Experience. This will redefine anyone's idea of what begrip is capable of <3

I'm very glad to be joining up with Begrip Gaming. I've been inactive and clanless for a while now and was starting to give up COD4 when begrip contacted me with perfect timing giving me an offer I couldn't refuse.

I started playing with em and it didn't take long for us to feel the good chemistry we had. I am looking forward to attend the eXperience with these bunch of lovely guys and upcoming LANS as well!

roman följer i plaZmas fotspår

Igår skrev jag om att norrbaggen plaZma bestämt sig för att lägga CoD4 på hyllan (läs mer..), nu följer roman, sniper i Hollands finaste - KomaCrew efter och gör det samma. Detta innebär att KomaCrew endast har 4 aktiva spelare i dagsläget, för att råda bot mot detta har man beslutat sig för att låna Sample This-spelaren Kajsk1ng som temporär ersättare under iPOWERgames. Vem som ersätter roman i slutändan återstår att se.

Lagkapten svo berättar:

After playing with some months with roman it is time to part ways. Everyone can guess the reason(s) of his departure as most of you know roman. Its sad for me to say goodbye to a teammate and a friend. However i do believe in a short time already it will work out better for our team, since most of the other players could not really get along with roman.

We have set our eyes on a couple of players, but we can not really decide yet since some of them cannot attend all the lans we are going to present at this summer. So soon after iPower Paris you will get more information concerning our line up change.

I wish roman the best of luck with his job and life and whatever he might do in gaming in the future.

plaZma lägger CoD4 på hyllan, Zenith ersätter

En av de verkliga veteranerna inom CoD-scenen är norske hjälten plaZma som representerat Dignitas under hela CoD4-karriären. Nu väljer dock plaZma att lägga CoD4 på hyllan.

Dignitas har dock agerat snabbt och presenterade för några dagar sedan en ersättare i Zenith som lämnar Oslo Lions efter lite strul i sitt gamla lag, Oslo Lions. Hur det kommer gå för Zenith i Dignitas får vi se under sommarens alla offline-events. Oslo Lions kommer att presentera en ersättare för Zenith inom kort och sommarens evenemang skall inte ligga i faro-zonen.

Zenith presenterar sig själv på Dignitas hemsida:

Hey, I'm Daniel Johansen, I'm 16 and I'm studing my A levels, I used to be a player of the Oslo Lions team but due to my activity and their activity, it really conflicted and it just didn't feel right for me. After playing with raz for some time, he approached me with an offer to attend all these three LANs and be within a top European team as sadly one of their players had no motivation to play the game. Before the three major summer LANs now I've taken up this offer it's going to be a big one to fill. I'd like to thank Dignitas for giving me this opportunity to play on the highest level and also thank Dignitas sponsers as they are helping me get to these places.

Stheno satsar på solande apor

Den skandinaviska mixen (bortsett från en spelare) Sunbathing Monkeys har för några dagar sedan blivit rekryterade av organisationen Stheno eSports. Samtidigt har MAFAKKA och zENTSE blivit inplockade i laget efter att finska froqzer gått inaktiv. Med andra ord består laget nu till 50% av svenskar och stackars GOODWIN lär få ont i öronen och med risk för att bli mobbad av svenskar och danskar på Ventrilo.

After announcing our lineup around a month or so ago, we were forced into an early lineup change due to froqzer going inactive. We decided to make this a 6 man lineup to secure our activity seeing as Goodwin decided to get kicked out of his house! First of all we brought in MAFAKKA, my ex team-mate who was playing as our 6th anyway. We also brought in zENTSE, a top DOD:S player and Fr33dom's ex team-mate.

After a few weeks of negotiating with some MGC's we got talking to stheno-nytro and ended up as the new stheno.cod4 team! You should see us becoming more active over the next few weeks and im so pro.

Infused tar in gamla team-ephix

Sedan organisationen team-ephix la ner verksamheten (läs mer..) tidigare i juni har CoD4-sektionen letat efter en ny stöttepelare. Nu tycker man sig ha hittat rätt i Infused och det blir med den taggen laget kommer visa upp sig under Antwerp eSport Festival, The-Experience samt i34.

With the announcement a few weeks ago that team ephix would cease to exist as an organisation, we have received numerous offers interested in our services for the summer and the foreseeable future. Infused stood out amongst the crowd in both professionalism and support, and I would like to thank all of the parties for their interest in the team - however in the end the choice was not a difficult one. We hope that we can represent an organisation on the level of Infused with the right maturity and dedication that they deserve. We have planned attendances for the big three in the summer, and hopefully every major European event afterwards. Thanks for everybody who has stuck by us, and see you in Belgium!

miracle med i xcite.uk's nya satsning

Efter att den svenska satsningen i OCTANE satsar svenske miracle vidare med en europeisk blandning i xcite.uk's nya CoD4-satsning. xcite.uk gjorde sig kända som organisation inom CoD4 tidigare i år då de som nu är Sample This spelade under deras flagg. Anledningen till att det laget lämnade xcite.uk var det vanliga, för dålig support. Återstår att se hur det blir med den delen för denna nya version. Får åtminstone hoppas på det bästa för miracle.

Since octane folded i have been looking for a nice team, wich i found in Solarise. Now, im very happy that we can represent xciteuk's new CoD4 team. With some nice guys like wizinium, ex Sample This player, substnc from iFRAG, remixYE from codehook and zniprr i hope we will do well. First lan attending is probably Easy Bash in september. I wanna thank the management for giving us this chance!

K1ck plockar in spanskt

Den portugisiska organisationen eSports Club K1ck väljer att satsa vidare på CoD4. Sedan tidigare har man en portugisisk sektion och man har även hunnit med att tappa en finsk. Nu står det klart att man värvar f.d. NextLevel som under sommaren bl.a. kommer deltaga på Antwerp eSport Festival.

Lagkapten RauTe förklarar:

We are very pleased to be a part of a club that keeps growing, day by day. I hope that we will have luck now that we have left our previous club and we will try to do our best, achieving titles. Thanks for the trust in our team.
